
The crown jewel of the Northwestern Ontario’s vacationland. Big doesn’t really describe its 65,000 miles of shoreline with over 14,000 islands. It is a recognized Ontario legend. The meandering shoreline rimmed with thick green forests and granite rises provide an uncountable number of quiet secluded bays for safe anchorage. The numerous islands insure good running regardless of winds and weather.
You will have the opportunity to watch Beaver at work, to see Moose, Deer and Black Bear. You may watch Bald Eagles soar, nesting Osprey, a variety of Hawks, Cormorants, a large population of Pelicans exclusive to Lake of the Woods and be serenaded by the calls of the Loons. Lake of the Woods has gained a position of historical significance within the region and maintains a reputation for fine fishing and hunting as well as establishing itself as a prime attraction for tourism.

Both International Falls, Minnesota and Kenora, Ontario, are serviced by commercial air carriers. We will be happy to arrange transportation from these points to our base on advance notice. Private aircraft may fly direct to either Kenora, ON, or Nestor Falls, ON. Both offer paved runways and tie down.
Sioux Narrows is well known for its excellent Gift shops and its full range of services all right in downtown Sioux Narrows. Experience any of your favorite leisure activities from swimming to golfing to hiking and of course superb fishing. Along the trails and on the islands of Lake of the Woods, you will find a variety of wild flowers, wild blueberries and raspberries.
